Cohle Smith
Cohle Smith is an indie-folk singer and songwriter blending the timeless intimacy of folk with raw, unfiltered modern indie storytelling. Originally from Houston, TX, Cohle was more focused dancing and making up songs than Little League games. When his coach told him to “man up,” he quit, instinctively knowing that his place was in music, not baseball.
Now based in Boston, MA, Cohle’s music is a deeply personal reflection of love, loss, and self-discovery. Influenced by artists like Julia Jacklin and Wilco, Cohle utilizes acoustic elements and vulnerable reflections to share his distinct queer perspective growing up in the south.
In addition to his own artistry, Cohle has also found a creative outlet in writing for other artists. With every lyric, Cohle invites audiences into his world, proving that storytelling is not just an art form but a way to connect, heal, and be heard.
